I discovered UX Design when I had just departed from my long-standing goal of becoming a doctor. It wasn’t the right fit for me, but it took a pandemic and a 450-sq ft. apartment to make that truly click. Once I faced that life-altering realization, I pivoted to look for a career that better combined what I loved to do with what was most important to me.
UX Design is the perfect blend of technology, research, and design to fit the pattern of my life. In undergrad, I balanced STEM courses and a research fellowship with freelance graphic design work. I went on to balance brand consulting work at Shift Digital with UX graduate courses at Michigan State. I found an industry where I could be data-driven, creative, and advocate for real people. I was 100% in.
What really drew me into UX was the continuous drive toward efficiency for the users. Helping people feel confident and empowered throughout these processes is what drives me. I am always excited to explore new UX opportunities and bring fresh and innovative designs to life.
When I'm not at my desk, I enjoy reading, coloring, and pickleball!
